Preparing Your Content

Good content preparation reduces delays and makes review much easier.

Write Page By Page

Prepare content in page-sized sections rather than one large unstructured document.

A simple structure is usually enough:

  • Page title
  • Intro paragraph
  • Main sections with headings
  • Calls to action
  • Links, downloads, or supporting details

Keep It Practical

  • Write for your customer, not for internal shorthand.
  • Keep paragraphs fairly short.
  • Use headings to break up longer sections.
  • Include the exact spellings, phone numbers, email addresses, and locations you want shown on the site.

Things To Avoid

  • Embedding important text inside images or PDFs only.
  • Sending multiple conflicting versions of the same page.
  • Leaving critical sections as placeholders without highlighting them.
  • Relying on old website copy if it is outdated or incomplete.
