Project Timeline
Every project is slightly different, but most One Acre Web projects follow the same broad stages.
Typical Stages
1. Discovery And Scope
We agree the goals for the website, the page types needed, the content structure, and any special requirements such as forms, collections, integrations, or migrations.
2. Content Collection
You send the written content, images, branding, and any reference material needed for the build.
3. Design And Build
One Acre Web designs and builds the website, prepares the CMS, and configures the main page layouts and content blocks.
4. Review And Revisions
You review the website, test the main journeys, and send back any agreed edits or corrections.
5. Domain And DNS Setup
If needed, you update the domain nameservers so One Acre Web can manage DNS in Cloudflare and connect the live site properly.
6. Launch
The site is published, final checks are completed, and the handover to normal CMS use begins.
What Affects Timing
- How quickly content and feedback are supplied.
- How complete the initial brief is.
- Whether branding is ready.
- Whether a domain, email, or DNS change is required.
- Whether the project includes special features or content migration.
How To Keep Things Moving
- Send content in batches only if they are clearly labelled.
- Keep feedback consolidated where possible.
- Flag missing items early rather than waiting until review.
- Tell One Acre Web about deadlines, events, or launch dates as soon as possible.
