Edit Menus

Use Menus when you need to update the links shown in your website navigation or footer.

What Menus Usually Control

  • The main site navigation.
  • Footer links.
  • Smaller utility or legal menus, depending on how your site was set up.

Open A Menu

  1. Choose Menus in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Open the menu you want to edit.
  3. Work in the Menu Items section for that menu.

Add A Menu Item

  1. Choose New menu item.
  2. Enter the link label.
  3. Choose the link Type.
  4. If you choose Page, select the page from the Page field.
  5. If you choose Custom URL, enter the link in the Custom URL field.
  6. Turn on Open in new tab only when that behaviour is needed.
  7. Save the item.

Edit An Existing Menu Item

  1. Find the item in the list.
  2. Choose Edit.
  3. Update the label, destination, or new-tab setting.
  4. Save your changes.

Reorder Menu Items

  1. Choose Reorder items.
  2. Drag the items into the order you want.
  3. Choose Done reordering.

Tips

  • Use Page links for normal internal navigation whenever possible.
  • Use Custom URL for external websites or special links that do not point to a CMS page.
  • Review the live order carefully before publishing if the menu is visitor-facing.
